Log in, type the account's @username, tick Stories (and Highlights if you want them), and click Save. The stories that are up right now are saved into a stories folder inside the account's folder, in a subfolder for each date.
Step by step
- Log in to InstagramFeedSaver opens Instagram in its own window and you log in there. Instagram only shows stories to people who are logged in. We never receive your password.
- Type the @usernameYour own account, a public account, or a private account you follow.
- Tick StoriesUntick Posts and the other sources if stories are all you want. Tick Highlights too to keep the stories the account has pinned to its profile.
- Click SaveEach story is saved as the photo or video Instagram serves. If there's no story right now, FeedSaver says “No story right now” instead of showing an error.
- Come back for new onesStories disappear after a day, so save again tomorrow. Stories are always saved in full, and the ones you already have are skipped. With Pro, Update the accounts you follow can include Stories for each account.
What you get
northlight_photo/ stories/ 2026-10-10/ highlights/ 17846293051234567/
Stories go in a folder named with their date. Saved stories also appear in the FeedSaver library, next to the account's posts.
Honest limits
- Only stories that are still up. Once a story is 24 hours old and not in a highlight, it's gone, for FeedSaver too.
- Not your story archive. FeedSaver can't open the private archive of your own old stories. Instagram's free data download can include it.
- It uses your own account. FeedSaver sees what your account can see, and viewing stories may mark them as seen. Don't rely on it to watch stories anonymously.
- Private accounts only if you follow them.
Whose stories? Save stories you have the right to keep: your own, or a friend's or family member's with their permission.
Common questions
Can I save stories from a private account?
Only if you follow it and you're logged in. FeedSaver can't see anything your own account can't.
Is the quality better than a screen recording?
It's the file Instagram serves, with no screen, buttons or notifications in it. We don't promise the original upload quality, which Instagram may have already reduced.
Is it free?
Yes, up to 50 files a day. Pro is $39, paid once, removes the limit and adds Update the accounts you follow.
